Profile 2021

Hi my name is Lucy. I am year 6 at Matawai school. I live on a farm with my Mum, Dad, brother and sister.

Reading is a challenge for me at school but I really enjoy art and ukulele. My goal this year is getting better at playing the ukulele and learning more chords. I would love to get better at writing.

This year I am looking forward to room 4 camp and the Senior bike ride. I am inspired by Vicki Wilson because she is a great horse rider and I want to improve my riding skills.

Today have been learning to use Pop Art. You use the same picture 4x. 

 I enjoyed making myself look different. 

I found it challenging to to get onto the site.

 Next time I would change the colours.

My favourite one is the one with the blue and purple jersey.

Potato In A Bucket

 Room 3 planted a potato in a bucket we needed  Blood and Bones future Eliza sand gravel compost and Dirt from the school grounds. The gravel was to put at the bottom so the water with flow through. We mix the compost and sand and  future Eliza and the dirt from our school grounds.Then we got the seed potato dug a hole and put it in.when the leaves grow out from the top we have to mould it over the top.

 Today I was learning how to screencastify. 

I found it challenging to get on screencastify. I kept making mistakes. I had to do another one.

I liked holding my shape in the picture and seeing my face.

We were learning all the 
measurements  of an orange.

Today I was learning to make an animation. We were using slides.

I enjoyed using background and finding a car.

I found it challenging to skip the potholes .

Flounder Fish

Our amazing teacher Mrs Shaw brought a flounder to school! Room 3 are looking at features on  the flounder and learning about them in our reading time.

Garlic Bread

Room 3 planted garlic on the shortest day of the year.  We used it to make garlic bread and we ate it at our school swimming sports day bbq.
